Penktadienį šiaip ne taip Bankoke pasigavome taksi (negalėjo prie mūsų privažiuoti dėl turgaus ir nekalbėjo angliškai), nukeliavome iki oro uosto ir išskridome į Singapūrą. Vakarop buvome savo hostelyje. Kadangi nakvynės kainos Singapūre labai aukštos, po erdvės Bankoke mums teko tenkintis mažyčiu kambarėliu su dviem dviaukštėmis lovomis. Bet nieko, svarbu kartu juk!
Pailsėję ėjome pasivaikštinėti aplinkui.Gyvename Little India rajone, tad pravėrę duris pasijaučiame tarsi Indijoje, nors nebuvome, Yra induizmo šventyklų, sariais pasipuošusių moterų, daug aukso parduotuvių ir kiek netvarkos ir triukšmo. Nusigavome iki Tekka Market. Tai turgus, kurio apatiniame aukšte yra taip vadinamas „hawker centras“ – daug mažų maisto kioskelių ir tada daug stalų valgymui. Taip valgyti Singapūre pigu ir skanu.

We had some challenges catching taxi in Bangkok Friday morning, driver could not find us because of the market and was not speaking English. But we managed, got to the airport and had a flight to Singapore. We were at our hostel that evening. Because of the high accommodation prices here, we are living in a very small dormitory room. But it is fine!
We live in Little India, so we got out to explore a little bit. And we really felt like in India even if we have never been there – temples, women in saris, a lot of shops of golden jewellery, a little bit of mess and noise. We walked to Tekka Market. They sell a lot of different things there, but on the ground floor there is a so called “hawker centre” with a lot of different food kiosks and tables to eat, when you choose something. It is a best and cheapest way to eat in Singapore.
Singapūras yra sala, o jo apačioja yra dar viena maža sala pavadinimu Sentosa. Ji pilna įvairiausių pramogų – paplūdimių, kazino, atrakcionų parkų, vandens parkų, delfinariumų.. Mes pasirinkome aplankyti akvariumą. Kaip netikėta 😊 Jau jaučiamės esantys tikri akvariumų specialistai, žinoma, vaikai dievina viskq apie vandenį ir žuvis, o mes su Justu jau ir priekabesni būnam. Bet šiame labai erzino milijonai žmonių, nes jų tikrai buvo milijonai. Žinoma, šventės ir šeštadienis, na bet vistiek, atrodė, kad visas Singapūras yra tą dieną Sentosos saloj. Bet patiko mums keliauti tokiu tvarkingu taku iki tos salos nuo metro stoties, pasižvalgant.

Singapore is an island, which has one smaller island called Sentosa. It is full of activities, such as beaches, casinos, amusement parks, water parks etc. We have chosen to visit aquarium, what a surprise 😊 We feel real experts in aquariums. Of course, kids love everything about water and marine life, but me and Justas are quite critical. In this one we got really annoyed by the huge number of the people. Yes, it is holidays and it is Saturday, but still. we felt like all Singapore was at Sentosa today. But we really enjoyed the boardwalk from metro to the aquarium.
Tada nutarėme Sentosa salą palikti ir keliauti į kinų kvartalą. Ir ten mums gana patiko, labiau nei Little India. Kažkaip jaukiau, tvarkingiau, yra nereali šventykla ir dar geresnė vieta valgymui, pavadinimu Maxwell’s. Ten pavakarieniavome ir nuvargę grįžome į hostelį. Tiesą sakant, aš pernelyg pavargus net fotkinti ir rašyti, pasistengsiu stipriau rytoj!

Then we decided to leave Sentosa and go to Chinatown. We like that part of the city more than Little India. It looks cosy, clean, has an amazing temple and a better hawker centre called Maxwell’s. We had our dinner her and went back to our hostel as we are really exhausted. I am even too tired to take pictures and write this blog, but I will try to continue tomorrow!
